We are pleased to share that PhD candidate Beyza Yazıcı, together with her advisor Prof. Dr. Yasemin Afacan, presented the paper “Parametric Optimization of Façade Design and Thermal Setpoints for Carbon Reduction and Thermal Comfort in Residential Buildings in Türkiye” at the 17th International Conference on Sustainability in Energy and Buildings (SEB-25), held in Catania, Sicily, Italy, on 17–19 September 2025.
The study highlights how a parametric optimization framework can guide façade design strategies that both reduce carbon emissions and improve thermal comfort across Türkiye’s diverse climate zones.
