Asst. Prof. Nuri Cihan Kayaçetin from our department has represented the Urban-CoLLaR project at national and International events over the last two weeks!
He was invited as a guest speaker by TÜBİTAK to the National Info-day of Driving Urban Transitions (DUT) 2025 call on September 18th to share his leading experiences as the first-time coordinator from Türkiye in the call. Several researchers and representatives from Turkish municipalities and SMEs joined the session to explore how they can benefit from taking on the role of a coordinator in multinational partnerships.
Then, he joined the DUT Projects Event 2025 in Milano, Italy, on September 30th, where all projects from DUT 2022 and 2023 gathered for a combination of kick-off and mid-term events. It was a valuable opportunity to meet other projects, network, and start an exchange of knowledge across countries. It was also a crucial meeting to display the potential of Bilkent University and other Turkish universities in leading research on emerging concepts of sustainability, such as circular regenerative neighborhood developments. Urban-CoLLaR utilized the opportunity to come together with experts in their fields to conduct a survey on circularity knowledge.
DUT calls are announced to continue a 10-year program, in which researchers from Bilkent University and Türkiye are expected to participate and take on more leading roles in pioneering research on sustainable development.
