Project’s purpose/aim/objectives:

Our project’s main goal is to help people with disabilities to be outside freely and enjoy public areas such as parks, restaurants, cafes without being concerned about the accessibility issue. We hope to reach that goal both by informing disabled people about the accessibility criterias of the social areas and improving the accessibility rate of inaccessible places. Within this scope, PinGOin offers architectural renovations considering the universal design.

The award ceremony was held in TROX Ankara Office in TepePrime, on 4th June 2013.
The competition was conducted within the context of IAED 342 Sustainable Design for Interiors, coordinated by Assist. Prof. Dr. Yasemin Afacan in collabration Barış Salman from TROX Company, which has been the leading supplier of innovative and sustainable air conditioning technology worldwide since 1951.There was a university-industry collabration.
The project was the collabrative process of interior architecture and indoor climate, the integration of a heating, ventilation and air conditioning element into studio design project. 98 students worked individually with TROX Company. The best 10 projects, which achieved the interior architecture integration with the mechanical design, have chosen.
